A Fibromyalgia Group That Can Help You

My journey with Fibromyalgia started with the flu. I had never been so sick. I ached from the roots of my hair to my toes. I slept for two weeks. When I finially started to get on my feet, I got the flu again. While dealing with the flu from heck, I was starting a Preschool. Dealing with the city, the inspectors, fire marshall and my contractor was nothing compared to dealing with this flu. I had the "flu" seven times that winter. When it cleared up, I jumped right back into work. I loved my preschool. Then I got tired. Not just tired but fall asleep walking down stairs tired. So I went back to bed. Slept for what seemed like forever but was only a week. Then the pain started. The bones in my arms ached. Like they were being sawed in half. My feet would burn and turn bright red.. So much pain. My doctor thought I was crazy. My partner thought I was lazy and all I wanted was sleep. And understsnding. The more I looked for a doctor, the crazier I started to feel. Our stories are just almost exactly the same. Everyone thinks oh she wants drugs, he is just so lazy, if you would just get up and excerise. I decided to put together a group that could offer help. Learning for families. Honest discussions about medicines. Ideas that might help. So,here I am. I have grieved my past life. She is gone. I am trying to embrace, very tenderly, the new me.
